Prescription Drug Initiative
We have partnered with Buncombe County and the Coast2Coast Rx Card to provide a free discount card to area residents. Cards are available at most area chain pharmacies, libraries, County health facilities and online.
The card is free to all residents and their families. There never will be a charge for the card. Simply present the card at a participating pharmacy and you'll save up to 65% on your prescription costs.
The average savings in 2010 for cardholders is about 45%; savings can be minimal on one drug and another may have savings of 65% or more. While uninsureds is the key target market -- insureds that have a high deductible or that don't have a certain drug covered under their health insurance can also use the card.
The card covers most pet prescriptions. All chain pharmacies participate in the program and most independents honor the card too. To print a card or for more information, please go to www.coast2coastrx.com/buncombenc
