United Way ABC is working with GiveDirectly to provide one-time direct financial support to low-income Hurricane Helene survivors through Propel, an app that manages benefits like SNAP/food stamps, TANF, or SSI on an EBT card.
UWABC has provided the funds to GiveDirectly, which will then target offers directly to people living within the hardest-hit disaster zones and using the Propel app for benefits.
