In a vibrant celebration of community spirit and support, United Way of Asheville and Buncombe County (UWABC) recently teamed up with Mosaic Realty for a memorable event that showcased the power of collaboration and giving back. The occasion? Mosaic Realty's 2nd Annual Art Walk & Benefit, which not only delighted attendees with local art but also offered the chance to support 15 high-impact local non-profits through the Drive for a Cause car raffle.
The atmosphere during the Art Walk was electric, with downtown Asheville bustling as hundreds of art enthusiasts flocked to explore local galleries and connect with the organizations benefiting from the event. At the heart of it all, UWABC and Mosaic Realty joined forces, setting up a vibrant table at the Asheville Art Museum, where anticipation for the car raffle announcement reached a crescendo.
Amidst a chorus of cheers and applause, Cicily Newsom emerged as the fortunate recipient of the grand prize. Her reaction was nothing short of jubilant, her joy infectious as she embraced the moment with unrestrained elation, igniting a wave of excitement among onlookers. Congratulations Cicily!
Yet, beyond the thrill of winning, the victory lay in the collective impact of supporting local art, non-profits, and businesses committed to nurturing a resilient, thriving community. And when the dust settled and the numbers were crunched, our combined efforts netted $105,000!
We'd like to thank everyone who participated, including the local art museums, and benefiting nonprofits. We'd also like to give a special shout-out to Volkswagen, Asheville Downtown Association, and Mosaic Realty for their generous contributions. Most importantly, we'd like to thank everyone who opened their wallets and gave knowing their money would go to organizations grinding day in and day out to address some of our communities most pressing issues. Thank You!
In essence, the Art Walk & Benefit and Car Raffle event exemplified the root of community collaboration, where each ticket sold and every joyful moment shared reaffirmed our commitment to building a stronger, more vibrant Asheville and Buncombe County together.
