Summer Community Engagement Markets Continue Throughout Buncombe County

Since the onset of COVID-19, three monthly Community Engagement Markets have been facilitated throughout the county to help meet increased need for food supplies. Buncombe County Health and Human Services in partnership with MANNA Foodbank and United Way have come together to ensure these free curbside markets were accessible and spread throughout the county at Enka Middle, Erwin Middle, and Isaac Dickson Elementary. With school letting out for summer and the continued economic impact from COVID-19, we've decided to continue offering these free Community Engagement Markets. See the full schedule below. 

Food Resources, 211 + Summer Market Schedule

In addition to these monthly community offerings, we've compiled a list of free food resources throughout the county, which is updated daily and can be accessed HERE. We also encourage you to dial 211-- free, confidential, with translation available. Our Community Resource Specialists can help direct your call to localized resources to best support you.

Community Engagement Market Summer Schedule:

Enka Middle School: First Tuesday, 5 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

Erwin Middle School: Second Monday, 5:30-7 p.m.

Isaac Dickson Elementary: Third Tuesday, 1-3 p.m.
