Dr. Martin Luther King held a similar vision, dedicating his life to naming racial injustice and rallying communities to peacefully show up in opposition to laws and beliefs preventing a truly equitable world for us all.

We're proud to sponsor the annual Prayer Breakfast held by The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Association of Asheville and Buncombe County. This years 40th Annual Commemoration will be held virtually. The 2021 programming has been expanded to a week-long list of local events, including the Prayer Breakfast with this year's speaker Dr. Oralene Simmons, a Candlelit Service, the Peace March & Rally, the MLK Youth Scholarship Awards Ceremony and more.
