In 2021, United Way of Asheville and Buncombe County will celebrate its centennial anniversary. To prepare for this milestone, we've been hard at work, undergoing a rigorous planning process to create a new framework that addresses the root causes and consequences of poverty in our community. At the heart of this framework is our community school strategy.

While we're all nervous about the coming school year and the many support systems needed for our families, we're proud to share that our community came together to donate over $50,000, translating to 1,848 fully stocked backpacks through our annual School Supply Drive!
